CANADIER with CHAIN BRAKE

Flat-bottom rescue sled with chain brake for one-man operation.

Very economic flat-bottom rescue sled for one-man operation on easy to medium ski slopes. Because of its flat bottom, the Canadier is designed to be operated in the fall-line.

The unique Quick-Release Chain Brake device allows safe operation of the Canadier in steep terrain. Can be activated instantly with one hand at any time while running. As soon as the brake is released, it slides along its guiding rods under the sled, exactly to the position where maximum braking effectivity is obtained. By lifting or lowering the sled, the amount of brake-strength can be tuned.

Stable running characteristics: Three triangular runners, exclusively moulded for the Canadier, provide excellent running-stability and additional stiffness of the sled.

Thanks to its design, the Canadier is very light yet extremely durable. Even shape of the sled, only bent upwards at the bow, and the wide lying area allow a horizontal and very comfortable bedding of the injured, especially together with a vacuum mattress and a rescue bag.

Long lasting durability: Manufactured completely from high-strength, corrosion resistant aluminum alloy.

Two detachable poles can be attached with quick-locks in riding or in transport position.

Four carrying grips allow easy lifting of the sled.

Four fixation belts with aluminum buckles for safe fixation of the injured; resistant against breaking and icing, can be operated with skiing gloves.

A rugged, cadmium plated chain brake with attachment-carabiners is included.
