COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Communication system

Headset with hearing protection, allowing peripheral perception and surrounding conversation. Designed for harsh environments and compatible with most ballistic helmets. Suitable for both left- and right-handed users.

Atlantic Signal’s AVON Protection System Comms Cable Kit was developed for law enforcement and military clients using both Atlantic Signal and Peltor headsets.

Key advantages include a robust design, epoxy-sealed circuitry housing, and over-molded 4-conductor Nexus plug. The most distinctive feature, however, is the specialized circuitry design.

When a headset is connected to the kit – together with the headset’s PTT assembly – the headset’s external microphone is automatically disabled, and only the internal mask microphone is used when the PTT button is pressed to transmit.

This feature prevents ambient noise from being transmitted through the headset boom microphone, enabling operators to speak clearly and concisely without competing background noise.

The Comms Cable Kit is compatible with AVON Protection System FM53, M50, and C50 masks, with or without AVON’s external voice projection unit.
