The NARK II Progressive System by Sirchie Fingerprint Laboratories is a portable field testing kit designed for the presumptive identification of narcotics and controlled substances. It functions as a transportable narcotics laboratory, enabling rapid on-site testing for law enforcement personnel.

The system uses chemical reagents that produce specific color reactions when exposed to particular substances. These reactions provide presumptive identification, supporting probable cause in field operations. However, final confirmation must always be conducted by a certified forensic laboratory.
