Easy to use
Shrike features an intuitive and user-friendly interface designed to provide operators with maximum confidence during preparation and firing procedures. Controls are clearly arranged, ensuring fast and reliable operation even in high-pressure operational environments.

Shock Tube option
A Shock Tube Adapter is available, providing a simple and effective method of adding Shock Tube (Nonel) initiation capability. The adapter is inserted directly into the selected output terminals, and the exploder is then operated in the same manner as with wired detonation circuits.

Multiple circuits
Shrike is capable of initiating four independent firing circuits, allowing operators to manage separate charges or phased detonations within a single system.

Compatibility with a wide range of detonators
Shrike is available in two variants to accommodate different detonator types:

• Shrike Mk4 – designed for use with Group 2 safety detonators, requiring higher energy firing output.

• Shrike Mk5 – intended for use with standard NATO (Group 1) type detonators.

Shrike incorporates multiple built-in safety features to ensure maximum operational security. The device cannot fire into the external load unless a minimum firing voltage is present on the internal firing capacitors.

The external load must remain below a preset resistance value. After the PRIMING stage, the operator must press two independent control buttons simultaneously in order to discharge the stored energy into the selected external circuit.

To minimize electrical hazards, the exploder will not initiate if the resistance of the connected external load exceeds the allowable limit. The system prevents output energy from being released into any circuit where resistance is higher than the preset output inhibit level, thereby ensuring controlled and safe detonation procedures.
