The M2HB by U.S. Ordnance is an air-cooled, belt-fed heavy machine gun operating on the short recoil principle and firing from a closed bolt. It is capable of both sustained automatic fire and precise single-shot engagement.

Widely used by the United States military and most NATO member states, the M2HB is considered the global standard in heavy machine guns. It is currently in service with the armed forces of more than 23 countries and is deployed extensively as a mounted weapon on vehicles, patrol boats, helicopters, and other aircraft platforms.

The system allows ammunition feed from either the left or right side, making it suitable for both infantry and armored vehicle applications. Its rugged and durable construction ensures reliability under extreme operational conditions.
