MACHINE GUN 0.5

The U.S. Ordnance M2HB is an air-cooled, belt-fed, machine gun that fires from a closed bolt and operates on the short recoil principle. It is capable of both sustained automatic and accurate single-shot fire.

The M2HB machine gun is used extensively as a vehicle, boat, helicopter or other aircraft mounted weapon by the United States and most NATO countries. Because ammunition may be fed from either the left or the right side of the gun, it is suitable for use by both infantry and in armored vehicles.

In service with the U.S. military and the armed forces of more than 23 countries, the M2HB is the world standard in heavy machine guns. U.S. Ordnance is under a multi-year contract to supply M2HB machine guns to the U.S. military.
