PRS – Positioning system

Positioning and Immobilization During Surgery

Surgical procedures and invasive diagnostic examinations require precise patient positioning to provide the surgeon with optimal access to the relevant anatomical area. The additional use of pressure-relieving materials helps prevent positioning-related injuries.

Construction

The Patient Restraint System (PRS) offers the highest quality and sophisticated technology. Special emphasis has been placed on user-friendliness and precise manufacturing.

PRS consists of a multi-chamber system made from latex-free materials. A three-dimensional knitted structure in the shoulder area provides additional pressure relief during extreme positions with head-down tilt.

PRS is designed for the safe securing and stabilization of the patient in the intraoperative environment.

Indications for the use of the MedVac Vacuum System during surgery:

  • Lateral position

  • Semi-lateral position

  • Supine position

  • Lithotomy position

  • Laparoscopic position

  • Trendelenburg position
