Very solid mountain stretcher
Light but solid mountain stretcher for the transport of injured persons in all kind of terrain, for ropeing up or down, dragging over rock or ice, carrying and riding on the single wheel – wherever a good protection of the injured and a rugged device are required.
Less than 20kg weight, divisible into two loads of appr. 8 kg are unequaled for a real mountain stretcher. But of course, there are no compromises.
The frame is manufactured from light-weight, high precision steel tubing. This material provides unequalled resistance against wear when ropeing up or down on rock or dragging in gravel. The frame is powder coated in red colour for additional wear-resistance.
New ideas and well-proven design
The proved, circle-sector shaped frame design is the best choice for easy handling in all kind of terrain. The flat lying area for the injured is totally protected from side-impacts by a rail that surrounds the whole stretcher. This rail is, besides its main protecting function, a very handy grip that allows to hold the stretcher at any position. The two base runners are shaped in a circle-sector for optimum handling and retracted to the center to provide more space for the legs of the rescuer when ropeing up or down in steep rock.
For transport reasons the mountain stretcher can be quickly divided in the middle with Camlock quick locks.
Adjustable handles for more convenience
The four handles can be quickly and individually adjusted in 12 different positions to adapt to different carrying situations and to increase the mobility of the rescuer. The adjustment of the handles are done by arresting bolts. For transport reasons, the handles can be fully removed for a more equal distribution of the carrying loads.
Protection and best care for the injured
The absolutely horizontal bedding area for the injured is made from extra-light but extremely impact-resistant aluminum sandwich material, covered with shock-absorbing foam. It is 2.000 mm long, the width is 500 mm in the hip, 530 mm in the shoulder and 380 mm in the head and foot area, providing enough space even for tall patients. It allows unrestricted use of a vacuum mattress.
Four fixation belts with aluminum buckles hold the injured safe in every situation.
Extended field of application
The mountain stretcher light comes complete with wheel struts and a high-strength 20 inch aluminum wheel with a tubeless tire. The wheel struts could be easily attached to the frame on the lower side.
