NIGHT VISION MONOCULAR
The converter used in this device is of the third generation with a GaAs layer. EOM gen. 3 Standard is characterized by high resolution values of at least 60 lp/mm, S/N ratio – at least 23, high residual light multiplication values – at least 40,000 times and fantastic image quality.
The service life of the inverter reaches min. 10,000+ hours. The sensitivity of the photocathode reaches at least 1500 µA/lm, typically 1800 and more µA/lm. The amplification of residual light is in the range of 40,000x to 70,000x. Resistance to mechanical shocks is at least 75G for 6 milliseconds. During tests, these EOMs withstood a load of 500G for 0.3 milliseconds without problems.
The device will serve reliably for many years even under the most difficult conditions. The 3rd generation is still the last in the evolution of EOMs working on the principle of residual light amplification. The so-called The 4th generation that some sellers offer is just a marketing gimmick. The device provides a calm image with high resolution without obvious defects. The EOM can operate at low levels of residual light, where even the best EOM 2+ generations require IR illumination.
The device will serve reliably for many years even under the most difficult conditions. The device has a range of several hundreds of meters and is adapted for use without illumination by an IR illuminator. The limits of the device are probably not even approached by an ordinary user. The EOM is equipped with functions protecting it from radiation from point light sources that could cause its damage (Automatic Brightness Control and Bright Light Protection).
Night vision NVM-14 monocular is a multipurpose device. EOM 2+ generation provides a clear, clean image even in conditions close to absolute darkness.
We offer the converter in several different versions from different manufacturers and in auto gated versions, all of which are characterized by excellent resolution and signal/noise ratio (S/N ratio) parameters. The night vision has full-glass multi-coated optics, with multi-layer coatings, preventing unwanted glare or reflection and at the same time optimizing light transmission. The device is very light, compact, resistant not only to splashing water and atmospheric humidity, but also to complete submersion of the device to a depth of 20 meters, capable of operation in a wide range of temperatures. Night vision NVM-14 has a built-in IR illuminator enabling map reading, small technical repairs or operations in closed rooms.
The NVM-14 night vision is focusable from 25 cm to (theoretically) infinity.
The device can be used virtually immediately on a head strap or helmet mount for the right or left dominant eye, depending on the operator’s preference. In the operator’s field of vision, there are two LEDs that indicate the operation of the IR illuminator and the low state of the battery capacity. The NVM-14 night vision is equipped with Automatic Brightness Control and Bright Source (Light) Protection functions to protect the EOM at the photocathode and MCP level from excessive illumination that could damage these components, as well as a unique manual residual light gain controller for operations in urban environments .
Automatic protection elements ABC and BSP intervene if the ambient lighting level reaches 100 to 300 lux for more than 10 seconds and automatically turn off the device. The device is compatible with a wide range of protective equipment such as ballistic or protective helmets, glasses, gas masks and the like.
It can be used freely from the hand, or in a hands-free configuration in connection with a head strap (head gear, head mount). The NVM – 14 is perfectly balanced, which is an advantage when used on a head strap. The device can be used in combination with a wide range of accessories for an additional fee, such as a helmet adapter, a camera or camera adapter, a weapon mount, etc. NVM-14 night vision enables a wide range of night activities, such as walking, running, observing or searching, driving a motor vehicle, reading maps, providing first aid, conducting combat activities, performing special missions such as SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape)…
Focusing is ensured by changing the optical properties by rotating the front and back parts of the monocular. The power supply is realized using one 1.5 V AA (pencil) battery, which of course saves operating costs.
