PERSONAL ELECTRONIC ALARM DOSIMETER

Personal electronic alarm dosimeter

The Personal Electronic Alarm Dosimeter is a compact and lightweight device for real-time radiation monitoring, designed for military, emergency, and industrial use. It detects gamma radiation (Hp(10)) using a highly sensitive Si-diode detector and provides audible alarms for dose and dose rate thresholds.

With a measuring range from 1 µSv to 10 Sv and dose rates from 5 µSv/h to 3 Sv/h, the device offers precise calibration better than ±5% at 662 keV (2 mSv/h). The energy response covers 60 keV – 3 MeV with ±25% accuracy, and up to 6 MeV with ±35%. Dose rate linearity is better than ±15% up to 3 Sv/h.

Eight separate audible alarms alert the user for integrated dose, dose rate, dose limit exceedance, high dose rates, low battery (levels 1 and 2), and device malfunction. Alarm thresholds for integrated dose and dose rate can be preset (7 values) and manually adjusted via a button. The front-panel button allows switching display modes, turning the device on/off, enabling/disabling chirp sound, resetting integrated dose, adjusting alarm thresholds, and activating battery test.

Device configuration, active alarm thresholds, and button functions can also be managed through the ADR-1 reading head in combination with PC software.

Compact, robust, and easy to carry, the dosimeter operates in temperatures from -20° to +50°C and humidity up to 90% RH. Powered by a standard AAA battery, it provides up to 1800 hours of operation in background radiation fields.
