BALCONY BALLISTIC BARRIERS

Balcony Ballistic Barriers

Balcony ballistic barriers are protective structures designed to enhance the safety of occupants in residential or administrative buildings. They provide effective ballistic protection against various types of firearms while maintaining the functionality and visual appearance of balconies and terraces.

The barriers are capable of stopping bullets of calibers 5.56 mm, 7.62 mm, and 9 mm, as well as projectiles fired from smoothbore firearms. In addition, they provide protection against high-power rounds such as .338 Lapua Magnum (285 grain) and .50 BMG (750 gr A-MAX® Match™), including 12.7 × 99 mm M33 BALL ammunition, even when fired from a distance of approximately one meter.

From a construction standpoint, the barriers can function as standalone elements or be integrated with existing balcony or terrace structures. The surface of the RUBOX ballistic cover can be customized by applying images or textures that imitate standard balcony or terrace construction, making the protective system less visible and difficult to identify.

RUBOX system components can also be covered with additional masking elements or plastered to blend with the building’s architecture. The barrier is resistant to weather conditions and provides reliable protection not only against direct firearm impacts but also against ricochets.
